Grierson Trust Shortlist; New Jacob Burns Screening, And More! Eternal Spring End Of Summer Updates

GRIERSON TRUST DOC AWARDS HONOUR

The animated documentary ETERNAL SPRING (長春) finished off a great summer with more accolades and upcoming screenings.

The film was among eight films shortlisted for Best Cinema Documentary at the 2023 Grierson Trust UK Documentary Awards. The award is sponsored by Red Bull Studios.

The Eternal Spring team thanks its UK cinema partners the Bertha DocHouse and Curzon for bringing the film to UK audiences, and is greatly appreciative of the Grierson Trust honour!

This recognition follows the film’s win in June of the Grand Jury Prize at the annual Rockie Awards at the Banff World Media Festival, where Eternal Spring was chosen from over 1000 entries (including several Oscar nominated and shortlisted documentaries and animated films, Emmy winners, and others) for the legacy prize honouring the year’s best content.

NEW Screening at Jacob Burns Film Center

Eternal Spring will have a special screening at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY, on Saturday, October 7, at 7 p.m. The screening will be followed by a live Q&A with the film’s director, Jason Loftus.

Eternal Spring coming to Sherbrooke, QC

Eternal Spring will play at La Maison du Cinéma in Sherbrooke, QC, on Thursday, September 28. The screening will be followed by an in-person conversation with Eternal Spring producer, Yvan Pinard.

More Screenings

Eternal Spring also played its first screening in the Dominican Republic on Sunday, August 27, at the Cinemateca Dominicana as part of the International Book Fair Santo Domingo.

More fall festival screenings in Italy will be announced soon.
