ETERNAL SPRING (長春) Receives Nomination for Grierson Trust British Documentary Award for the Year’s Best Cinema Documentary

The Grierson Trust British Documentary Awards have unveiled the nominees for the 2023 gala, which will be held November 9th at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Among the four contenders for the year’s Best Cinema Documentary is ETERNAL SPRING (長春).

These awards serve as a platform for honoring documentaries that have made substantial contributions to the field, showcasing qualities such as integrity, creativity, originality, and overall excellence. The Eternal Spring team is thrilled by this honour and thanks our UK theatrical partners–Bertha DocHouse, Curzon, Together Films, Telefilm Canada–and all who have given their support!

Association of International Broadcasters nominates ETERNAL SPRING (長春) at their annual awards (AIBs)

ETERNAL SPRING is proud to be included in the shortlist for the Best Historical Journalism category at the Association of International Broadcasters’ annual awards. While looking forward to the award gala to be held November 10 at Church House Westminster in London, we congratulate the other outstanding nominees, including: BBC’s “Murder in the Pacific,” RNZ’s “NZ Wars: Stories of Wairau,” “1979 The Year of the Islamist Revolution,” and “The Execution of Madam Secretary.”

Tickets for the Jacob Burns Film Center Screening are On Sale

Eternal Spring is set for a special screening as part of the Global Watch: Movies that Matter series at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY, on Saturday, October 7th, starting at 7 p.m.
After the screening, there will be an exciting live Q&A session with the film’s director, Jason Loftus. Don’t miss out—tickets are currently available for purchase for this event.

A Great Crowd Shows Up in Sherbrooke, QC

Eternal Spring had a fantastic screening on Thursday, September 28th, at La Maison du Cinéma in Sherbrooke, QC, with an enthusiastic audience in attendance.
The event was accompanied by an informative in-person discussion featuring the film’s producer, Yvan Pinard.

Special Screening in Busan

“Mr. White,” one of the documentary’s subjects, attended a special screening of the film in Busan, South Korea, where he and the film was warmly received by a packed house of enthusiastic viewers.

More Screenings

Eternal Spring is currently showing at the 100% Manusia Film Festival taking place in Indonesia from Oct 2nd-8th. 

It will be in Mexico City, Mexico on the 25th of October at the Centro Cultural José Marti.
