SUPPORT FOR POWERFUL IMPACT DOCS
We’re thrilled to share with you the recent success of other powerful impact documentaries we’ve been able to support and be a part of.
TO KILL A TIGER: Eternal Spring director Jason Loftus served as an executive producer of To Kill a Tiger, which was recently nominated at the 96th Academy Awards® for Best Documentary Feature. Directed by Nisha Pahuja, and also executive produced by Oscar® nominee Dev Patel, Mindy Kaling, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, To Kill a Tiger features a gripping narrative about Ranjit, a farmer in Jharkhand, who bravely fights for justice for his teenage daughter after she is a victim of gang rape. This film embodies hope, resilience, and unwavering love, and it promises to be a powerful force for change in India and beyond.
Stream the film now on Netflix, and learn more (including how you can get involved) on the film’s beautiful website, which the Eternal Spring team was thrilled to craft.
MEDIHA: Jason Loftus is also an executive producer of the new documentary feature, Mediha, which has already claimed a half-dozen prizes in its short festival run so far, including the Grand Jury Prize at its premiere at DOC NYC. Directed by Slamdance winner Hasan Oswald and exec produced by Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson, Mediha portrays the story of a teenage Yazidi girl’s journey after returning from ISIS captivity. Through personal video-diaries, she confronts her past, reclaiming her voice and embracing the future.
Mediha has been Opening Night Film at four festivals, including at each of the final two Human Rights Watch Film Festivals (London and Toronto). It won the Activist Award at Movies That Matter Festival in The Hague and screened at both One World and CPH:DOX. There is much more to come, so please visit the film website, here.
